If the cooling tower device will be idle for a period of time, we shall follow the cooling tower maintenance instructions and conduct maintenance for all components. In addition, we shall provide additional maintenance for the following components on a regular basis.

Manually rotate the fan, water pump bearing and motor bearing at least once a month. Make sure that the cut-off switch of the unit has been locked and marked. And then rotate the blades a few times by hand. Check if there are abnormalities.
If the unit is idle for too long, turn on the gearbox and run 5 minutes per week.
If the unit is idle for more than 3 weeks, fill the gearbox with oil. Drain the oil to the normal oil level before operation.
If the unit is idle for at least one month, the insulation test of the motor shall be carried out every 6 months.
If the fan motor stops running for at least 24 hours. However, the water pump continues to supply spray water to the coil at the same time. It is recommended to install a motor space heater, and the space heater should be turned on. supply power to the fan motor twice a day for 10 minutes each time to expel the moisture from the motor coil.
If the coil is left idle for at least one month, the coil needs to be filled with nitrogen.
